Bubbles Bar (Closed Permanently) Formerly: Friendly Society
Bubbles, as it’s affectionately called, is a place that has been giving “Drags” a platform to excel on!
With an atmosphere enthused with a mix of personal influences, you might think you’ve just walked into a Parisian bar, a London drag pub or a 1930s Berlin joint. In fact, it’s all three & more! A cozy, slightly dimmed, friendly, inviting venue on a secluded, quiet passageway off Waterkant Street to boot!
The downstairs club gets busy around 9 p.m. Live entertainment into the early hours from drag queen Odidiva and the Candy Girls. Brazilian and Latin nights (referring mainly to the music, not the clientele) are popular. The bar is part of the Village Lodge mini-empire; if you need a place to stay, or your plans change, above the bar are hotel suites that can be booked at the bar or by telephoning 021 421 1106.

Went there for a drink and we had to pay R30 entrance fee each, service horrible and Lesbian singing realyy badly
